Gary and Larry Lane have done an amazing job in this documentary called from Hollywood to Dollywood.

This film referred to as a road trip documentary and civil rights odyssey features appearances by Leslie Jordan (Will & Grace), Chad Allen, Beth Grant (Sordid Lives), Dustin Lance Black (MILK), and Ann Walker (Sordid Lives)to name just a few!

The premise: The handsome gay twin boys wish to get their script (written with Dolly and only Dolly in mind) into the hands of the Queen of Country herself, so the boys drive an RV cross country to Dollyland in the hopes of hand delivering their brilliant script to Miss Dolly Parton herself! What takes place along the trip is not only entertaining but is heartfelt.

Welcome to Summer 2011!

Now that I have some free time to post again, I thought I'd start a series featuring some of my favorite models. Hopefully you will find these guys as amazing as I do and will learn their names and any other fun facts I can throw in. Let's get started.

I'm going to start at the end of the alphabet and work backward. So beginning with the letter Z, my first featured model is new kid on the runway; Zeb Ringle.

So, I know I haven't written in like a year. Busy. I do add my shared items from Google reader that I hope you all will find really cool.

Anyway, so the OC has like one real gay bar, The Tin Lizzie. But last night...we got there and there were like 25 women and their straight nerdy friends in a space meant for like 100. WTF?

So we quickly surmised that our local tavern has become the go-to destination for all of the wanton straight girls and their ridiculous sorority-like bridal showers in the OC! FML!!!!!!

We need to do something! Can we petition the bars to not let in girls over 4 to a group? Like they do in LONDON?

Yep, that's right bitches! We just got back from LONDON and this bar, SHADOW LOUNGE, only allows hot gay guys in. YES! Girls have to wait in line with straight "bi-curious" guys because they only let in so many at a time. Fuckin' Awesome!!!! Crowd and vibe was incredible to say the least.

Let's start a campaign to ban all stupid sorority-like parties and bridal showers from infesting our few remaining safe havens for us gay boys in the OC. These people have their own bars to ruin. Leave ours alone!!!!!

Disney's California Adventure improvements

CARS LAND (4 new attractions including Test Track ride system!!!!)

Silly Symphony Swings

Carthay Circle Theater replica (1928 Snow White premiere)
New Entrance, similar to Hollywood Studios in Orlando

Completion isn't scheduled until 2012, but many will be open by 2010 as photos show preparation for the new Ferris Wheel and Water Show lagoon installation.

And now our boy has gotten the DMK underwear campaign just in time for the holidays. Nice job Anton, we look forward to more great work from you in the future! Hard work does pay off.

nonetheless for picketing the White House, carrying signs asking

forced a tube down her throat and poured liquid into her until she vomited.

She was tortured like this for weeks until word was smuggled out to the press.

So, refresh my memory. Some women won't vote this year because-why, exactly?

We have carpool duties? We have to get to work? Our vote doesn't matter? It's raining?

Last week, I went to a sparsely attended screening of HBO's new movie 'Iron Jawed Angels.'

It is a graphic depiction of the battle these women waged so that I could pull the curtain at the

polling booth and have my say. I am ashamed to say I needed the reminder.

All these years later, voter registration is still my passion. But the actual act of voting had

become less personal for me, more rote. Frankly, voting often felt more like an obligation than a privilege. Sometimes it was inconvenient.

My friend Wendy, who is my age and studied women's history, saw the HBO movie, too.

When she stopped by my desk to talk about it, she looked angry. She was--with herself.

'One thought kept coming back to me as I watched that movie,' she said. 'What would those

women think of the way I use, or don't use, my right to vote? All of us take it for granted

now, not just younger women, but those of us who did seek to learn.' The right to vote,

she said, had become valuable to her 'all over again.'

HBO released the movie on video and DVD. I wish all history, social studies and government

teachers would include the movie in their curriculum I want it shown on Bunco night, too, and

anywhere else women gather. I realize this isn't our usual idea of socializing, but we are not

voting in the numbers that we should be, and I think a little shock therapy is in order.

It is jarring to watch Woodrow Wilson and his cronies try to persuade a psychiatrist to declare

Alice Paul insane so that she could be permanently institutionalized. And it is inspiring to watch

the doctor refuse. Alice Paul was strong, he said, and brave. That didn't make her crazy.

The doctor admonished the men: 'Courage in women is often mistaken for insanity.'

Please, if you are so inclined, pass this on to all the women you know.

We need to get out and vote and use this right that was fought so hard for by these very

courageous women. Whether you vote democratic, republican or independent party – remember

to vote.

So I went to see Indiana Jones yesterday with two friends from Long Beach since my partner is up in Vancouver dealing with his mom in the hospital. (that's a whole other Oprah)

He and I disagree in our reactions about the film. He thinks the plot is too contrived and a just a copy of National Treasure 2 and has too much of that weird science fiction stuff in it. Okay, point taken.

I loved it! Especially the nods to Raiders. Hello? Did you see the Lost Ark of the Covenant in that warehouse??? I knew it was still there. ;)

There does seem to be much being made lately about the lost Central American cultures of the Maya and Aztec people. The subject of their culture and strange disappearance is all over the learning and travel channels any time I search the guide on TV.

Since I have a small interest and fascination with archaeology, (Atlantis) I have heard of the real Crystal Skulls before and their link to Extraterrestrials. So I don't think this plot is all that contrived. It is true to what was happening in the 1940s when these discoveries were made.

Now I'm all psyched about archaeology again. Just put in The Mummy 1 & 2 to keep the mood going. Love Ancient Egypt!

Memorial Day! It is sad to see the L.A. Times print 500 names of our men and women who had to die to defend our countries beliefs and ideals. It sucks even more when I feel embarrassed to tell my European friends I am an American, and yes apparently we did vote for the guy who is our current president and I'm so Sorry! I can't wait to feel "Proud to Be An American" again. I will support either Hillary or Barak, anyone but this douchebag currently calling the shots.

First Story from Paris

OMG! I can't believe how late this is getting out. Coming back from Europe I was so sick. Not fun! And, I had to work the next day. So between catching up at work and being exhausted and sick I am finally ready to start recapping the experience that was "Winter Break!"

Day 1: Disneyland Paris

I know, everyone is giving me crap for going. But just listen and you'll understand why.

I'm a 'SoCal' brat. That means Disneyland is in my blood. It is literally part of the air I breathe everyday here in the OC. I have only wonderful memories from childhood up to today of my experiences as a guest and an employee. (except for the F'in strollers, later on that) I've been to both Anaheim parks and all of the Florida Parks so I just couldn't miss going to Disney Paris since I don't know when I'll go back. Okay, now you get it? Good, so don't hate!!!

Our first experience in Paris involved trying to figure out where the hell Disneyland was. Let me tell you kids, it's not in the city of Paris. Luckily our train station: Garre de Lyon (see first pic) had an information section and the lady was way cool and spoke British English! Score! She told us to get the combo pack which gives you the train fare and the park admission for cheaper than if you buy directly from the park or if you buy each separately. Nice! So off we went with our spiffy "Combo Tickets". I was stoked. I felt like I was 12 again. (it doesn't take much)

So the train took about 30 minutes and we arrived at the final stop which drops you off right at the main gate. Cool! So easy to get to and to find. I also found out there are two parks now in Paris! They have just recently opened a Disney MGM Studios right next to Disneyland Paris. I guess we'll catch that one next time.

The entrance was spectacular. As soon as we got in we shot this photo of the Castle. It so kicks-ass over all other Disney Castles! This thing is huge and has a dungeon with an actual dragon inside.

Next we had to do Space Mountain since I heard it was amazing! Totally different from all other parks, and it was. The ride shoots you up the outside of the structure like a cannon and the interior is amazing with loops and corkscrews and tons of visual imagery to keep your brain saturated with activity.

Other must sees are: Phantom Manor, Pirates of the Caribbean (very different, amazing queue line), Indiana Jones Mine Car Chase and Big Thunder which is on an Island in the center of the Rivers of America. The Train loads on the mainland and then shoots you under the river and up and out onto the island. Pretty Cool!!!

California Taxes

Just got a mailer from our state assemblyman Chuck DeVore. It asks us to give our opinion on what we would do about the states financial problems, specifically tax revenue.

Did you know?

30,000 of 70,000 state vehicles are missing? These would include: Caltrans trucks, CHP cars, fire rigs and prison vehicles. Yet the state continues to purchase new ones.
Two separate bureaucracies collect our state taxes: Franchise Tax Board and the Board of Equalization. Yet, the legislature has rejected every bill introduced to streamline these two agencies.
Costs of maintaining levees in Sacramento have risen from $300 per foot in the 80's to $5,000 per foot today. The rising cost has nothing to do with keeping citizens and homes safe. There are 1,600 miles of levees to maintain.

We are voting to:

Reduce government spending by eliminating wasteful programs and consolidating duplicative bureaucracies.
Reduce the deficit through spending restraint, not tax increases.

FYI, Californians pay more in taxes than in 42 other states.

Winter Break (on crack)

The plans keep changing, but as of now: we fly to Paris on the 25th, meet up with friends from Barcelona, party heavily..., 27th Go to Disney Paris which I've been dying to do since it opened in 1992, 28th pretend the palace at Versailles is really my families estate from way back but some Bitch screwed up the books and gave it to someone named Louis, party in the Marais..., 29th check out the Mona Diva with the smirk in the Louvre, crawl onto a train to Amsterdam on the 30th with aforementioned friends from Barcelona and hopefully some new ones..., party heavily..., do everything my mother said I was ever forbidden to do, 31st-1st Take over some bar with all of our friends from Barcelona, Paris and the Netherlands for New Years...Cheers!, stumble back onto said train on January 2nd for return trip to Paris, fly to Barcelona on 3rd to say goodbye to friends and revisit our favorite city (unless Paris takes the top spot), 4th party like it's 1999 in Barcelona (haven't we already done this?), somehow get our asses on a plane to NYC on the 5th and meet up with all of our friends we haven't seen in months, fly back to the OC on Sunday the 6th and go back to work on the 7th...
